How Prices Are Calculated:

Ear Type

Your rats ear type will determine part of final cost.

Top Ear

$35

This is standard for rats and will be cheaper.

Top eared rats are exactly as they sound and have their ears at the top of their head. This is a base price for our rats and final cost is determined by coat.

Dumbo Ear

$45

This is a recessive gene that sets the ears lower on the head and makes the ears larger and rounder. Alternatively this will add $10-15 to your to final cost based on coat.

Coat Type

This will be the main deciding factor in determining your final cost

himalayan---pink eyed white---siamese

$35

agouti---black

$35

fawn---cinnamon agouti

$35

hairless---double rex

$35

dws (dominant white spot)

$40

These should not be bred without proper research and should be pet only otherwise.

russian blue---mink

$45

american blue

$55

rex---velveteen---double velveteen---satin

$5-15

This is a separate modifier like dumbo ears and will just factor into the total cost if applicable.

masked---variegated---hooded---capped---blaze

$35-65

These are just examples of some unique patterns that appear in rats fur.

silvermane

$60-85

This is a genetic mutation that leaves hollow tips in the guard hairs of rats creating a silvering effect; it also gives them a softer coat.

Knowledge, Handling and Care

We also factor in how long we have worked with a certain line for it's health or temperament, the time and effort spent socializing the babies for their new homes, and lastly to help cover some of the costs of food/bedding during their stay. All 3 of these sections are used to find a good, balanced and fair price for your new pets.

When buying rats you must buy in pairs. We offer $10 off each pair of rats as well as $5 off each additional rat. Older and retired rats will also be offered at discounted rates.
