We require all adopters to place a $15 deposit to hold your rats after completion of approved adoption form. *This fee is non-refundable but will come off the total cost. You may pay in full or pay your deposit and pay the remaining amount prior to pickup.
This is just to help ensure babies have homes and are not forgotten. Should you decide to backout of your adoption the $15 goes towards care for your selected rat(s).
*Although the deposit is non-refundable, if you do decide to cancel your adoption the rest will be refunded to you.
Currently we allow rats to leave any time after 6 weeks but we prefer that you adopt them at 8 weeks. We may change this rule in the future and only do 8 weeks but we are still deciding our new procedures.
We decide our first round of holdbacks at 3 weeks old at which point we will show the rest to waitlist adopters for that litter.
We decide our second round of holdbacks at 5 weeks old (more fine tuning for our breeding program). The remaining babies are then offered to the public, including ones who were not chosen by waitlist.
Babies are now able to go home a week later at 6 weeks old but we strongly recommend that you wait a few weeks and allow you rats to gain more time with various aged rats and learn better socialization skills.

Please contact us to be waitlisted for Cherry x Durian or Daquiri x Alfalfa.
These are not confirmed pairings but if you have an interest in those litters let us know so that we can begin accumulating our 2026 waitlist.
